Fire service put out car fire in Clermiston

Officers from Scottish Fire and Rescue Services (SFRS) attended a car fire in the west of the city on Monday evening.

The car was parked in a driveway around 6.30pm and SFRS sent one appliance to deal with the fire.

As the car burst into flames in Hoseasons Gardens in Clermiston, Edinburgh Live report that the female driver was still inside, but it is understood the woman escaped from the car before the fire service attended.

A spokesperson from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received a call at 6.36pm on Monday, March 23 to a car on fire on Hoseason Gardens.

“We dispatched one appliance to the residential street. There have been no casualties. Our crew remains on the scene.”
