Police Scotland is deploying new officers to Scotland’s communities following successful conclusion of their first stage of probationer training.
The 158 officers celebrated in front of family and loved ones at a formal parade at the Scottish Police College, Tulliallan, today, Friday, 13 February, 2026.
The parade marks the next stage of their probationer journey where they will begin operational deployment to local policing divisions.
Deputy Chief Constable Alan Speirs addressed the cadre of officers and was joined by Assistant Chief Constable Stuart Houston and other senior officers from across Police Scotland.
DCC Speirs said: “I am grateful to our officers for the fundamental role they will play in supporting the wellbeing of Scotland’s communities.
“They come from a variety of backgrounds and bring their own unique skillset to policing. Their collective experience will support us in keeping people safe and protecting the most vulnerable in our society.
“When they deploy to communities they will uphold our values of fairness, integrity, respect, and will uphold human rights at all times.”
