Defender Shane Blaney moved to Livingston in the summer from William Hill Premiership rivals, Motherwell, but he is now moving on after eight appearances for The Lions.
Injury has hampered the career of the 26-year-old at The Home of the Set Fare Arena and he has been ruled out since being hurt in the first-half of the club’s fixture at Hibs in October.
The Letterkenny native (pictured by Nigel Duncan during a press conference earlier this term) has completed his rehabilitation and he now joins League of Ireland side, Sligo Rovers, on loan until July 1 this year.
Meanwhile, back in West Lothian, David Martindale continues to insist his men are in “a good place”.
They face St Mirren in the league on Tuesday (kick-off 19.45) only days after being knocked out of the Scottish Gas, Scottish Cup, by the Paisley club after a penalty shootout at Almondvale.
Martindale urged supporters to stick with the club who prop up the 12-strong division.
The long-standing boss said: “This club is going places. We’ll get there together.”
Stephen Robinson’s men, who recently won the Premier Sports Cup, are third bottom of the table, eight points ahead of Livingston with 18 points banked so far from 21 fixtures. Kilmarnock are second bottom with 14 points from 22 fixtures.
Livingston have ten points from 21 games. Robinson looked back at Saturday’s cup clash and admitted he noted signs of recovery from their recent form slump and he added: “We want to take that into Tuesday.”
