An investigation is underway after two vehicles were damaged by fire in West Lothian this morning Monday 29 December 2025.
The incident took place shortly after 6am on Almondell Road, Broxburn.
Emergency services were called to the scene and officers are treating the fire as deliberate.
There were no reports of any injuries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.05am on Monday, 29 December, 2025, we received a report of a car on fire on Almondell Road, Broxburn.
“The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and there were no reports of any injuries.
“A second vehicle was damaged as a result. The fire is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 0505 of 29 December, 2025.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 5.52am on Monday, 29 December to reports of a vehicle fire in Broxburn.
“Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the town’s Almondell Road, where firefighters extinguished the fire and worked to make the area safe. There were no casualties.”
