Derek McInnes stressed the need to keep players active by playing games and for staff not getting regular minutes in the first team to go out on loan, particularly the younger players.
The squad have, he said, been outstanding in the way they have approached their work since he took over and he added: “It is as good a bunch if boys that I have worked with.”
There is, he added, a happy dressing-room at Tynecastle and that always helps.
McInnes (pictured at a media conference at The Oriam) said: “It is easy to be happy at your work when you are involved all the time, but it is not so easy when you are not involved.
“It goes without saying that there are a couple of lads we are keen to move out in January, but these conversations are always on-going. It is not just a case of I need to speak to somebody, they are on-going situations.”
Everybody is, he said, desperate to play their part and the former Aberdeen and Kilmarnock boss added: “We have to use everything we have got as a club.”
The recruitment analytics used by the current regime at Tynecastle have been well-documented. And there are other huge plusses, a team which sells it allocation home and away.
McInnes believes Heart of Midlothian FC have lots to talk about, Edinburgh as a city, Tynecastle, the training ground at Riccarton.
Another draw, he argued, is that everybody wants to be part of an ambitious club and a successful team.
Added to that is the ambition of the club hierarchy and the head coach declared: “We are a good proposition. We have good options and we need to be the best option we can and, if we can keep winning, and building the profile of the club, then that is great.”
