Cramond Angling Club host their annual meeting on Tuesday, December 9 at Cramond Boat Club (7.30pm, sharp).
Non-members wishing to attend should make a request in writing to [email protected].
Permits for the river are now available at Fishing Around the Forth website.
Meanwhile, Ian Campbell, who organises the Edinburgh Winter Shore League, sponsored by the Edinburgh Angling Centre and The Fishing Megastore plus Cox & Rawle, is looking for names for Round 5 of the event.
It is on Friday at Newhaven (west) with registration from 6pm to 6.15pm at Western Harbour Breakwater EH6 6PA. Fishing is from 7pm to 10pm.
This is a pre-book only event and Campbell said: “A big storm is coming but the forecast looks good with offshore breezes later in the week. Potentially, lots of fish about.”
