The panto is back at the Festival Theatre for one final year before returning to The King’s Theatre in 2026.
The King’s Theatre has undergone extensive renovations but will be ready for performances sometime in the New Year.
The cast of Jack and the Beanstalk includes Allan Stewart, Grant Stott and Jordan Young accompanied by Clare Gray as Pat the Cow, Gail Watson as Manipulate Fortuna (and the Spirit of the Beans) and Amber Sylvia-Edwards as Princess Jill.
The show includes all the usual banter, music and dance to entertain the audience around Christmas time in true panto style.
In the traditional tale, Jack will climb a huge beanstalk to Cloudland with Allan Stewart playing the dame once again – this time as Dame Trot. Local Hibs’ fan, Grant Stott, will play the baddie as ever, this time as a character called Fleshcreep and Jordan Young will play Jack.
Jack sells his cow and then has to get round the giant (who is evil) in his quest to acquire wealth beyond his wildest dreams.
Jack and the Beanstalk is produced by Crossroads Pantomimes.
