Police in Edinburgh have seized suspected stolen property with an estimated value of £8,000.
Warrants were executed at two business premises on Leith Walk and two men were arrested by Leith Community Officers, supported by Edinburgh Retail Crime Team.
Officers are currently making enquiries with a view to returning the property to its rightful owners.
A police spokesperson said: “Following reports of stolen property being reset on Leith Walk, Edinburgh, Leith Community Officers, supported by Edinburgh Retail Crime Team, executed warrants at two business premises.
“Approximately £8k of suspected stolen property was recovered, and enquiries are ongoing to ensure the property is returned to its rightful owners.
“Two males were arrested and will be reported for reset.
“Shoplifting is not a victimless crime and officers will continue to work with the Retail Crime Task Force to identify offenders, including those benefiting from the acquisition of stolen property.”
