Chris Cadden was delighted after Hibs’ 3-0 victory over St Mirren in the William Hill Premiership yesterday.
The right-back put in a stellar performance helping his side keep a clean sheet at the SMISA Stadium and added his first league goal of the campaign.
That excellent performance means Hibs will be third in the league table going into the international break.
When speaking after the game to Hibs TV, Cadden explained why he was so delighted with the result.
“It was a good performance. It’s a hard place to come, we knew that, and they’re a very good team. We knew we’d have to be at our best to go and win.
“We got a clean sheet first and foremost, and then to score three goals as well we were delighted.
“The manner of how we won the game and keeping a clean sheet was big for us. We could’ve scored more goals, but also had to ride our luck a little bit with a few big decisions going our way.
“It’s a great three points and a good night’s work.”
That was Cadds’ second goal of the campaign, his first this season coming in Europe against FK Partizan, and he admitted it’s something he wants to build on.
“The gaffer spoke to me about trying to add more goals to my game and getting in at the back post more. I managed the get it down and fire it into the bottom corner, so I was delighted.
“The main thing was that we got the three points, and I’m delighted I could help in a small way.”
