Princes Street has been closed at one end this morning after Police and ambulance services were called to an emergency.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.10am on Monday, 8 September, the body of a man was found on Princes Street, Edinburgh.
“the death is being teated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
There is a cordon across the street at the east end as far as Waverley Station.
EdinTravel on X say that opposite the H& M store the main shopping street is closed to traffic with three or four police cars in attendance.
