Record signing Ageu told Hearts TV that he was very happy to be at Tynecastle and the Brazilian added: “I am excited for this new opportunity.”
He promised: “I will be my best on the pitch.”
Last season, he said, was very important to him, and he hopes to repeat that in Scotland.
Claudio Braga, who has already made himself a fan favourite at Tynecastle, speaks Portuguese and Ageu described him as “an amazing guy”.
They have already been in touch, two weeks ago, in fact, and the box-to-box midfielder said that helped him make the move. Ageu said: “He told me the league is so intense, so aggressive, and, so, I like this game.
“I like this mode mode of playing football, so I am very happy and I only hope we have an amazing season.”
The Scottish fans was a key factor in Ageu putting pen to paper for the Men in Maroon and he said: “I love the fans, the passion so it for me was the big point.”
The midfielder has toured Tynecastle and the club’s training facility at The Oriam at Riccarton and he described it as “amazing”. He added: “I saw the stadium, so it’s incredible and I can’t wait. I am very excited to play.”
By the way, the correct pronounciation of the newcomers name is Ah-jee-oo (Ageu).
