Police investigate report of firearm use in Wester Hailes

Around 3.40pm on Thursday, 24 July, 2025, Police Scotland were called to a report of a firearm being discharged in the Hailesland Gardens area of Wester Hailes.

A 23-year-old man has attended hospital for treatment to serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Officers, including specialist firearms officers, are in attendance and extensive enquiries are ongoing.
