Hibs lost 2-1 to AFC Bournemouth in a behind-closed-doors friendly at the club’s Performance Centre yesterday.

Hibs like their opponents are part of the Black Knight Football Group and have been on a training camp in Bournemouth since Saturday.

Jordan Smith started in goal, behind a back-three of Warren O’Hora, Marvin Ekpiteta and Jack Iredale – with Chris Cadden and Jordan Obita on the right and left flanks, respectively.

Josh Mulligan, Alasana Manneh and Josh Campbell occupied the midfield three, with Martin Boyle and Kieron Bowie leading the line.

After a lively opening 20 minutes, the Cherries took the lead through Philip Billing who found the bottom corner with an excellent finish from the edge of the box.

The hosts went into the break with a two-goal cushion, adding a second through Evanilson who slotted the ball past Smith via a slight deflection.

Hibs pulled one back after the restart when Campbell won the ball and showed great composure to find Bowie, who calmly found the bottom corner with a clinical finish.
