Derek McInnes is targeting another clean sheet when his squad travels to face Stirling Albion in the Premier Sports Cup.
The Jambos logged one in the 4-0 win at Broadwood over Hamilton in midweek to maintain their perfect start to Group E.
He told Hearts TV that Stirling represented another challenge and added: “These games away from home can always be a bit trickier, but, if your approach is right, and if we can mirror a lot of what we’ve had in the last couple of games, then hopefully we can get a similar outcome.
“Whatever team we’re playing, whatever shape we’re up against, we try and impose ourselves, and try and make sure we carry a goal threat.
“The clean sheet against Hamilton was very important for us. We want to try and get more of that in the upcoming games, including Saturday.”
McInnes admitted to being “blown away” by the fan support and he said: “They need to see a Hearts team willing to play properly. They need to see a Hearts team willing to run hard for them. A Hearts team that always tries to win the game.
“We saw that on Tuesday night, two goals in the second half going into the Hearts end. Hopefully, we can have a lot more going forward.”
