Braid 4th’s have won Division 8a of the VMH Solicitors East tennis league.
The Cluny Gardens club. who share grounds with a local bowling club and whose women’s 1st team distinguished themselves this season by winning the Scottish Cup, lost only one of their ten matches with the wins evenly spread around.
Gilberto Martinez won 12 sets and lost only 4 while there were other particularly solid performances from captain Gary Kedney (10-4), Peter Thomson (9-1), Eugene Creally (9-3), and Alex Westmorland (5-1).
Other clubs in the division were Murrayfield 2, Merchiston 3, Colinton 4, Dunfermline 3 and Barnton Park 4.
