David Henry is standing as an independent candidate in Edinburgh West. This Saturday at 12pm he will officially launch his campaign and publish his election address.
The campaign will be delivered to around 48,600 households in the next week or so and the message is “Vote to end the Party Political Merry Go Round” by electing an independent MP who only answers to the constituents. No more party whips. A more honest form of democracy.
When asked why people should vote for him Mr Henry said: “The party system no longer works for ordinary people, party politicians lack the courage to do the right thing as the party whips won’t let them. As an independent MP I will have no party whip telling me how to vote I will only listen to my constituents.”
“I am the only candidate to give a clear answer on protecting women’s rights, I am the only candidate that has offered a clear course of action on reducing energy bills and getting households and small businesses some of their money back. I have also addressed a growing issue for pensioners who are being taxed on their pension income over £12,571, which is not right. They have already paid tax when they were working and paying into their pensions. That’s why in Edinburgh West voters should vote for me as their independent MP.”

He will launch his campaign at the Street Stall on Saturday 15 June 2024 between 12-2pm on St John’s Road Corstorphine EH12 8AX.
