Backing from Scott Sports for teenage Edinburgh cycling prospect Xander Graham, 14, has been extended by a further year.


The Scott Sports team will be supporting Xander as he competes in 2024 on Road, Gravel, Mountain bike and Cyclocross throughout the UK and Europe. They will provide top of the range bikes and their race clothing and leisure clothing.

Xander said on social media: “Super pleased I have signed for Scott Sports for a second year. To ride for one of the biggest brands in cycling is everyone’s dream. Every day I have to remind myself how fortunate I am.

“The team are so supportive of my development and education and the main focus is to ride bikes and have fun first and foremost in 2024.”

Xander is well known for his Tour of Britain appearance in 2021 that went viral on You-tube when, utilising the pavement during a stage in and around Edinburgh, he raced alongside the breakaway group who later expressed their admiration, particularly Dutch cyclist Pascal Eenkhoom who handed the youngster a water bottle.

Xander Graham nay be a top cycling prospect but his aim for 2024 is to “have fun”.

The moment was caught on live television and shown around the world with the video receiving over 1.6million views on the Tour of Britain social media accounts within 24 hours..

More recently Xander has been competing in multi-discipline cycling races throughout the UK and Europe developing his career on and off the bike, catching the eye of sponsors from around the globe with his social media accounts.


2023 was another fantastic year for Xander who placed third  overall in the British national Cyclo-cross Series Trophy for under-14’s 22/23 in addition to a third place in the British National  Mountain bike Series.


Only competing in one Scottish National round he took the win in the Scottish Road Crit at Kaimes.

With a third overall in the Scottish National Crit champs and a second place in the Scottish National Mountain Bike Championship followed by topping this winter’s under-16 Scottish Cyclocross Series in December he placed second overall.
