Edinburgh Arena may be bigger than you think

The Edinburgh Arena planned for Edinburgh Park next to the trams and the railway line may be bigger than first thought. Following the first consultation event AEG which runs the O2 in London, and which is applying for permission to build a concert venue at Edinburgh Park has said to those who attended the first consultation that they aim to increase the capacity to possibly as much

There is one final public consultation event to come on 9 January between 3pm and 7pm at 1 New Park Square Edinburgh Park EH12 9GR (next to Edinburgh Park Central tram stop).

As well as a concert and events venue there are also Class 3 (restaurants and cafƩs) and ancillary hot food /bar amenities with associated public realm, access, landscaping, parking and infrastructure proposed.

Magic Fest opens today

A full deck of magicians are putting the final touches to their range of mind-boggling tricks and illusions as they prepare to gather in Edinburgh from next week for MagicFest 2023 which runs from 20 to 31 December.

Edinburghā€™s own Kevin Quantum who founded the festival will appear this Christmas as well as a new generation of teenage performers who are ready to baffle and delight audiences in the Future Magicians show.

Following a successful debut, the show is now an established addition to the annual Edinburgh International Magic Festival, which runs from 20-31 December.
