Council elections 2022 – Portobello/Craigmillar ward

There will definitely be a change of representation in this ward as three former councillors are stepping down.

We have written about the Labour and Alba candidates – Jane Meagher, Heather Pugh and Anne Todd.

None of the other candidates who are standing have so far responded to our call for some profile information. If any do, then we shall of course add them here.

Kate Campbell is the only current councillor who will be standing in 2022. All others have resigned or retired – Labour’s Maureen Child after a long council career, Callum Laidlaw (Conservative) who is moving out of the area and Mary Campbell of the Green party.

Cllr Kate Campbell has been Housing Convener in the last administration. We interviewed her most recently here.

The candidates for election are:

Scottish National Party (SNP) – CAMPBELL, Kate

Scottish Green Party – MUMFORD, Alys
