Round three of the Betfred League Cup Group Stages took place last night.

Both Hibs and Hearts maintained their 100% record whilst Edinburgh City lost 2-1 to Alloa.

Shock of the night came at Rugby Park when Championship side Dunfermline Athletic beat Kilmarnock 3-0 thanks to a double from on-loan Hibs youngster Fraser Murray.

The full round up is as follows.

Group A

Hearts are in a strong position after beating Raith Rovers 3-1 at Tynecastle with a Craig Wighton hat-trick. Inverness CT were held to a 0-0 draw by Cowdenbeath but ICT earned the bonus point in the shoot-out.

Group B

Hibernian maintained their 100% record with a 1-0 win at Forfar Athletic thanks to a late David Gray goal. Brora Rangers and Cove Rangers drew 2-2, with Cove picking up the bonus point on penalties.

Group C

Dundee United beat Kelty Hearts 1-0 at Tannadice and Peterhead saw off Brechin City 3-1 at Balmoor but St Johnstone stay top on goal difference.

Group D

Elgin City top the group after winning 2-0 at Montrose while Ross County overcame Arbroath 2-1 at the Global Energy Stadium.

Group E

Dunfermline Athletic took a big step towards the last 16 with a 3-0 victory at Kilmarnock while Falkirk defeated Clyde 2-1.

Group F

Ayr United lead the way after a 1-0 home win over Annan Athletic while Stranraer and Albion Rovers drew 2-2 at Stair Park. Rovers then won a Scottish record-breaking penalty shoot-out 15-14, with 30 kicks taken and only one missed.

Group G

Partick Thistle are the group leaders following their shoot-out success at Queen of the South after a 0-0 draw. Morton beat Queen’s Park 1-0 at Cappielow.

Group H

Leaders Livingston didn’t play tonight but Alloa Athletic join them on the six-point mark after beating Edinburgh City 2-1 and Airdrieonians were 2-0 winners away to Stenhousemuir.
