The Liberal Democrat MP for Edinburgh West, Christine Jardine, is to host a series of outdoor meetings and surgeries to broaden access for constituents during the pandemic.

She will also meet local charities and businesses in sessions which will follow strict coronavirus guidelines.

The week of events will be in addition to her phone surgeries which have continued through the crisis.

Ms Jardine said:“It’s been a difficult and distressing time for everyone and now that the rules allow meetings, I am keen to be as accessible as possible to support constituents.

“It is also an opportunity to meet and thank some of the charities and business who are playing such an important part in keeping our communities healthy, safe and connected.

“We are currently making alterations to the office so we can meet people safely and securely but, in the meantime, I hope as many people as possible will check out where we are and come along.”
