Police Scotland have issued advice ahead of this weekend’s favourable weather conditions.

The weather is set to be warm and sunny this afternoon, and officers are expecting parks, beaches and open spaces in Edinburgh to be busy.

They will have extra patrols out and about across the city in an effort to combat any antisocial behaviour.

Portobello beach again packed with sun worshipers as the temperatures sore.

The public are advised to act responsibly and consider others around them.

Shouting, rowdy behaviour and loud music  may cause fear, alarm and distress to others.

Overindulgence in alcohol can impact on your behaviour, your mind and your self-control. Drinking too much alcohol may make you more likely to become involved in altercations. One punch can ruin two lives.

Bin your litter when you leave, be kind to our environment and keep Scotland beautiful.

Make sure you and your friends have return journeys planned.

Be responsible and have a #SafeSummer
