One of the Edinburgh care homes, Strachan House in Blackhall, invites locals, neighbours and friends to their free monthly coffee morning.
These take place every Friday morning between 10.00am and 12 noon. Visitors will be given a tour of the home as well as having the opportunity to have a refreshment and homemade cake.
General Manager of the home, Eileen Crawford said: “Our Community Coffee Morning allows individuals from the local area to meet and connect with one another regularly.
“It’s a great chance to share stories, make new friends, and of course, enjoy our wonderful spread provided by our hospitality team!”
There are 83 residents in Strachan House enjoying residential and nursing care. Owners Barchester Healthcare offer respite care as well as longer stays.
