LIDL Live was part of Burns&Beyond Culture Trail at Edinburgh’s Assembly Rooms on Saturday night.

Singer KT Tunstall was rocking the rockstar look and gave every single performance at Assembly Rooms last night her all.

She was on stage four times in all with her Friends, each time changing the set (and her outfits!) just a little.

KT Tunstall performed to thousands of fans in Edinburgh last night as part of a Scottish charity tour in celebration of Lidl’s 100th store opening – which by chance was in her very own Fife. The Edinburgh Reporter spoke to LIDL Regional Director Ross Millar who was in the audience. Mr Millar told us that when they planned the tour LIDL knew the 100th store opening would take place in January, but at that point did not know where. He also reminded us that there are new LIDL stores on the way at Craigleith and Seafield in 2020.

The concert at Assembly Rooms was part of the Culture Trail in the Burns and Beyond Festival programme and marked the end of a week-long, nationwide tour with Lidl raising money for charity at the same time.

As part of Lidl Live, the pop rocker’s fun-filled tour of music and food also featured visits to Lidl stores, local schools and the retailer’s Scottish suppliers.

In Edinburgh, KT visited Stewart Brewing in Loanhead.

Relishing the opportunity to return to her roots, the star has found time for the tour in a busy schedule between supporting pop rock duo Hall & Oates at Madison Square Gardens and joining 80’s legend Rick Astley’s UK tour this spring.

From Kirkwall to Stranraer, Lidl has become known for its high market penetration in rural towns. Celebrating its 25-year anniversary in the country this year, the retailer is committed to investing in local producers and has built a network of 60 Scottish suppliers.
