Three men have been arrested following disorder at Tynecastle during the Edinburgh derby on Saturday.

The 12.30pm kick off was delayed after a pyrotechnic was thrown onto the pitch whilst further smoke bombs were set off by fans of both sides during the game and a coconut was also thrown on to the field.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Following the Edinburgh derby match on Saturday April 6, Police Scotland can confirm three men have been arrested and charged in connection with alleged disorder related offences within the stadium including the alleged use of a pyrotechnic device. “Inquiries are ongoing into a number of acts of disorder during the match.” Hibs beat Hearts 2-1 in their first victory at Tynecastle since 2013.
