Kieran Power has been elected by Hibs’ supporters as their new representative on the club’s board of directors.

Five supporters stood for the latest election following an open nominations process. Voting closed at 5pm on Monday, with a record response.

Mr Power will now join Tracey Smith, who will serve for a further year before next year’s election process.

He will serve for the next two years and kick off his term with the board meeting on April 25. Further details on how to contact him will be announced in due course.

The club has also thanked Frank Dougan, who will now step down following four years on the Hibernian Board of Directors.

Chief Executive Leeann Dempster said: “Frank has been a terrific servant to the club and a great help to myself and the board throughout his time in the role.

“He has given an incredible amount of time and effort to helping his club and bring the views of supporters to the table, and his experience and insight has important.

“On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Frank for his contribution. “I would also like to welcome Kieran to the role and look forward to working with him.

“The role can be challenging and there are always things we can do better, and hopefully Kieran can contribute towards the continued success of the club in the years ahead.”
