Customers travelling on Lothiancountry’s West Lothian services will be able to pay for their fare using contactless from this Saturday 1 December 2018.

The technology has been fitted to Lothiancountry’s West Lothian vehicles providing customers with a quick and convenient payment option. VISA or Mastercard payment cards will be accepted, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Across this weekend the company will also be introducing Service X18 between Edinburgh and Armadale and a new weekend night service N28 between the Omni Centre, Edinburgh and Livingston.

Nigel Serafini, Commercial Director from Lothian said: “This is the first time that we will be offering contactless payment for journeys on our services between Edinburgh and West Lothian. We are sure this will be a welcome addition to our range of ticketing and payment choices for our customers, providing a seamless and convenient way to pay for your ticket.”

Lothiancountry began operations in West Lothian in August this year, and operate a fare structure based on a simple and customer friendly zonal system.

A bespoke fleet of vehicles in Lothian Country’s distinctive green and cream livery fitted with USB charging points and Wi-Fi operate on these routes, offering customers high levels of comfort and quality for their journeys.
