With Christmas parties in full swing, drivers are being reminded that ‘the best approach is none’ and will highlight the consequences of being caught drink driving.

The awareness campaign supports Police Scotland’s enforcement campaign, which will mean more patrols on Scotland’s roads from 1 December.

Minister for Community Safety Ash Denham, Lord Advocate James Wolffe QC and Assistant Chief Constable Mark Williams all gathered on the city’s Grassmarket to launch The Scottish Government and Road Safety Scotland’s festive drink drive campaign.
