Hibs’ fans have selected Nigerian defender Efe Ambrose as their Newtown Décor Player of the Month Award for September.

Neil Lennon and the coaching staff selected four players, Adam Bogdan, Efe Ambrose, Mark Milligan and Martin Boyle for the award and the fans voted for their favourite.

Ambrose received an impressive 58% of the vote and was presented with the award by Newtown Décor Director Lee Calder on Tuesday afternoon after scooping the prize.

The centre-back played in every Hibernian game in September and was part of a side that kept successive clean sheets against Dundee, Aberdeen, St Mirren and Hamilton.

His performances lauded by supporters and coaches alike and Lennon recently said that he was in the best form for a number of years.

The voting for the Newtown Décor Player of the Month for October will go live after the Edinburgh Derby on Wednesday 31 October 2018.
