A talented young ballerina will be playing the starring role of Clara in the English National Ballet’s adaptation of The Nutcracker this Christmas.

Lucy Harrower, 12, who attended Edinburgh Ballet and St George’s School for Girls, will be taking to the stage as Clara, who finds herself journeying through a magical world with a Nutcracker doll on Christmas Eve.

She now studies dance at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts in Hertfordshire having secured a place at the prestigious school this year.

The school’s former alumni include actresses Lily James (Cinderella) and Jessica Brown-Findlay (Downtown Abbey), as well singer-songwriter Ella Henderson and leading director and choreographer Drew McOnie.

Lucy will be performing in The Nutcracker at the London Coliseum from 19-24  December and 2 -6 January 2018.
