Sheffield Tigers have been forced into two changes from their usual line-up against Edinburgh Monarchs on Friday.

Former Glasgow Tigers favourite Josh Grajczonek has Premiership commitments and Josh Bates is absent due to riding for Great Britain in their bid to reach the Under-21 World Team Cup Final.

Glasgow captain Aaron Summers deputises and Coty Garcia replaces Bates in the Sheffield line-up.

Both are capable performers who have recorded strong performances at Armadale this year.

Monarchs are also missing Josh Pickering who rides for Australia in the World under-21 Team Cup.

Monarchs considered a guest option but the current form of Mark Riss and the Monarchs reserves suggested that rider replacement is the best option.

Monarchs co-promoter John Campbell said ‘We would have been entitled to a guest for Josh but his average has dropped to just over four so locating a suitable replacement is not easy.

“We’ll need to be on our toes tonight to repel the challenge of Sheffield who did so well here just over a month ago.”
