Daren Fitzhenry is to be nominated by the Scottish Parliament as the new Scottish Information Commissioner next week. 
He will succeed Rosemary Agnew who was Information Commissioner till last April. 

He will hold the post if the Scottish Parliament approves the nomination for six years at an annual salary of £73,000. 

A law graduate if the University of Glasgow Mr Fitzhenry has worked as a solicitor in those private practice and public service he joined the RAF in 2000. He has wide experience of implementing and applying legislation in a variety of fields here and abroad.
