Serviced apartments at Princes Street Suites in Edinburgh have come to the notice of the Scottish Hotel Awards’ ‘Family Hotel of the Year’.

Managed by Redefine|BDL Hotels (RBH) – the UK’s leading independent hotel management company – the suites came out on top of the family-friendly category for Edinburgh and the Lothians.

As a result of its success, the team will go up against finalists from six other regions at the national Scottish Hotel Awards in Glasgow on 23 April 2017.

The spacious apartments, which were transformed last year thanks to a £350,000 refurbishment,  impressed the judges who said that they are ‘perfect for families’.

Additional touches like kids’ packs, including colouring books, pens and puzzles to keep children entertained – as well as information for parents on Edinburgh’s attractions – also stood out.

Fiona Mackenzie, general manager of Princes Street Suites, said: “To be chosen as Edinburgh and the Lothians’ top family hotel is fantastic. We like to make sure families are well catered for, and little extra touches like our kids’ packs have gone down well with children and parents alike. It also helps that we’re on the doorstep of some of the capital’s fantastic attractions.

“We’re up against some very tough competition for the national awards next month, so to win would be a great achievement. It would be a wonderful way to reward the team for the great deal of hard work they put into giving families the best possible experience during their visit.”
