Caledonia Pride go in search of that elusive first win at the home of the current Women’s British Basketball League (WBBL) pace-setters on Saturday.

They travel to Nottingham Wildcats Arena (5.30pm tip-off) following their 69-50 defeat at All Saints High School against Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters last weekend.
Wildcats have won nine of their ten games so far this term and have scored 793 points with 630 against.

Pride, who are ninth, have yet to win in nine attempts and have scored 447 points and lost 688, they pushed Wildcats who visited in early January.

Hannah Peacock top scored with 15 points for the home side with Tricia Oakes netting 14.

The league leading scorer, Ashley Harris, posted 19 points and nine rebounds for the visitors who did most of the damage early in the game, starting both of the first two quarters quickly.

They led 41-19 after the first-half but Pride battled back in the second-half and they fought back to within ten points at the start of the fourth quarter.

Sadly, they could not maintain that and Wildcats closed the game out 63-49.

Bart Sengers, Pride’s coach, will look for a replay of that second-half showing when the girls visit Nottingham.

Meanwhile, Great Britain centre Dominique Allen, a recent visitor to The Oriam, Pride’s home court, has received another individual accolade.

She has been named Molten WBBL Player of the Month for January in recognition of her performances for Manchester Mystics.

It has been a fantastic month for Allen and the award follows on from her being named Most Valuable Player at the inaugural WBBL Cup Final at the Barclaycard Arena when she propelled Mystics to their first piece of WBBL silverware.
