An 84 year-old man has been reported missing from Prospect Bank Road.

Robert Haldane has dementia and was last seen at Prospect Bank Road today about 1pm.

He rarely leaves the house alone and fears have been raised about his welfare.

He is described as being around 5 ft 10 inches tall, with white hair on the sides and balding on top. He has a slim build and speaks with a local accent.

When last seen Robert was wearing a blue 3/4 length jacket, a dark blue flat cap (both the same as in the photo), grey trousers and tan walking shoes.

Robert has been known to frequent the Leith Walk/Easter Road area and also may have visited the Christmas market in Princes Street.

Sergeant Patricia Hamilton of Leith Police Station said: “Robert has been missing since earlier today and he is particularly vulnerable on account of his dementia.

W are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen him or a man fitting his description.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact officers on 101.”
