Film In The City 1

Film Fest in the City will return to St Andrew Square from 10-12 June 2016.

The outdoor cinema has not always been blessed with good weather, so bring your seat and your waterproofs just in case!

There will be 15 movies shown over the weekend from The Breakfast Club to Minions, Finding Nemo and the Muppets.

There is a special dance along screening of Grease on Saturday afternoon and the closing film will be Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens,

Graham’s the Family Dairy will offer cinema-themed ice cream throughout the weekend and Pickering’s Gin will provide cocktails.

Roddy Smith, Chief Executive of Essential Edinburgh, the company behind EdinEvents said: “Edinburgh City Centre provides the perfect backdrop for a weekend of exciting outdoor film screenings and we are delighted to be working closely with EIFF once again to bring such a popular event to both residents and locals.

We are confident that this year’s programme will offer something for everyone and once again be a big hit with visitors.”

Mark Adams, EIFF Artistic Director said:” We are thrilled that the wonderfully entertaining and fun-packed Film Fest in the City is again acting as the perfect preamble to this year’s festival. These outdoor screenings are real cinematic occasions and the films this year packed with laughs, action and drama.”
