Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was stolen during a housebreaking in Lasswade which  happened sometime between Tuesday 1st and Sunday 6th March at an address in Polton Road.

After the property was entered, the homeowner’s silver Volvo XC60 was taken from outside.

The vehicle, which has registration number ST11 BKX has yet to be traced and anyone who can assist officers with this investigation, is asked to come forward.

Constable Andy Palin from the Community Investigation Unit said: “The victim is obviously deeply upset that his home was broken into and his car was stolen and is eager to get it back.

“Anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity around Polton Road between the 1st and 6th March, or who has come across the missing Volvo and knows its current whereabouts should contact police immediately.

“In addition, anyone who can help us identify those responsible is also urged to get in touch.”
