Hibs’ Head Coach believes that Saturday’s trip to the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium represents an opportunity to get back to winning ways, following Wednesday night’s defeat to Greenock Morton.

The teams have not met since October, with Alan Stubbs’ side winning 4-2 at Easter Road on that day although the corresponding game on the first day of the season ended with a win for the ‘Sons.

Stubbs has not given up on automatic promotion although he accepted that Wednesday’s defeat makes overtaking Rangers an uphill struggle.

It will be a hectic few weeks for Stubbs and his players with a Scottish Cup quarter-final against Cup holders Inverness Caledonian Thistle next Sunday followed by the League Cup Final at Hampden Park against Ross County, but the main focus is the game tomorrow.

Speaking to Hibs TV, he said: “It feels like a long time since we played them because of games getting called off. The beginning of the season seems a long time away as well now.

“Saturday is an opportunity for us to get a result. It’s as simple as that. We go there and we want to get back on track as quickly as possible.”
