Tomorrow some postgraduate students are launching a “Second Chance” project and invite all students, employees and anyone in the neighbourhood of the Heriot-Watt campus  to hunt for the most “valuable” goods such as umbrellas, rain coats and scarves – to help them survive the Scottish weather,  table games – to pass the time and make new friends, coin purses – to keep your finances under control and many other items up for grabs.

“Second Chance” is the result of the first challenge given to group of students who are studying Strategic Project Management. This project will bring the students together as a team as they embark upon an exciting 16 month programme of study across Europe!

The project is designed to promote the following values:

• “Pre-loved essentials”: a wide variety of useful second-hand objects in a good condition will be on sale.
• “Helping others”: the project aims to meet the essential needs of students whilst contributing to a good cause by giving all the profits from the sale to a charitable organisation;
• “Encouraging sustainability”: we care about environmental and economical sustainability and want to promote it to others.

The sale will take place in the corridor between the Main Reception and the Hugh Nisbet building on Wednesday from 9am till 6pm;
For more information, follow the event on Facebook  or contact the team on +44 7464803269.
