Following Friday’s launch of the 2015-16 Hibernian Away Kit, the club have reported record sales.
Large queues formed early in the morning with fans desperate to get their hands on the long-awaited purple away kit, and traffic through the store continued to flow throughout the day.
Greig Mailer, the Club’s Head of Marketing and Commercial Operations, commented: “It was an exceptionally busy day in the clubstore – the best day of trading since our partnership with Just Sport and Nike started. Sales of the home kit over the past few weeks have also been well beyond even our most optimistic forecasts, and it looks like the away kit might be even more popular.”
Due to the record level of sales the Club have been experiencing stock issues across a number of home kit sizes, but another delivery will be arriving to be on sale by Wednesday of next week.
Mailer said: “We have been blown away by the demand for both kits but are working hard with our partners Just Sport to ship new stock in and have it delivered. The home kit stock will be replenished next week in good time for the start of the season on Saturday.”
