Police  have released CCTV footage of two men they wish to trace in connection with the robbery of a 35-year-old man by people impersonating police officers earlier this year.

The incident occurred at around 3.30am on Saturday 14 February on South Bridge, near to the Tesco store.

Detectives are keen to trace the men pictured in the images, as they believe that they may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The first male is described as white, with short dark hair, early 30s, approximately 5ft 10in tall, and at the time of the incident he was wearing a waterproof black jacket, blue jeans, and beige timberland style boots.

The second male is described as white, with short dark hair, early 30s, approximately 5ft 10in tall and at the time of the incident was wearing a sports jacket or blazer, blue jeans, and dark shoes with white soles.

Detective Constable Christopher Harding said: “Anyone who recognises the description, or was in the area at the time, is urged to come forward to police.”
