The yarn bomb in this photo says “more social housing fewer bl**dy students” .It’s a development being built on the site of the former motor garage – Chathams on Abbeyhill and the protest is probably a dig at the number of student housing building developments in the city.
This is a development for 422 students, and will be available later this summer.
It takes a lot of time to knit these ‘protests’ and I love it when they appear – albeit quietly.
