Former Hibs’ striker Leigh Griffiths (pictured) has been named in  Gordon Strachan’s  26-man squad to play Qatar and the Republic of Ireland next month.

Griffiths has scored 13 goals for Celtic in the Scottish Premiership this season and he will be joined by ex Hibs’ players Steven Fletcher, Steven Whittaker and Scott Brown as well as former Hearts’ players Craig Gordon and Christophe Berra.

Scotland will face Qatar in the Qatar Airways Cup on Friday 5 June, kick-off 7.45pm at  Easter Road before travelling to Dublin to face the Republic of Ireland in a European Qualifier on Saturday 13 June, kick-off 5pm at the  Aviva Stadium, Dublin
