Hearts preparations for their return to the SPFL Premiership have been boosted by the news that three of the club’s brightest prospects have signed extensions to their current deals at Tynecastle.

Winger Billy King and forwards Gary Oliver and Robbie Buchanan penned their new contracts earlier this week. 20 year old King, who has been a main player in Hearts SPFL Championship winning side and 19 year old Buchanan, on the fringes of the first team, have both signed for two more years. 19 year old Oliver has added an extra year to his current deal.

Hearts Head Coach Robbie Neilson was delighted to fix up the trio. “Billy has made 33 appearances for the club this season and has a huge future. I’m delighted to get him signed up” he told the official Hearts website. “Both Gary and Robbie went out on loan this season and did really well. We were desperate to get Gary back from Stenhousemuir and into the first-team squad and get him involved, and he’s done really well towards the end of the season.”

“Robbie performed well on loan at Cowdenbeath and I was really pleased with his performances. The two of them will be pushing for the first-team squad next season so it’s great to get these bright, young talents signed up.”

Midfielder Scott Robinson, meanwhile, is expected to link up again with former Hearts boss Gary Locke at Kilmarnock.
