The next part of the redevelopment of Fountainbridge is now on the drawing board and there will be a public event on 12 February 2015 at Bainfield Union,Ā Bainfield Student Residences,Ā Fountainbridge,Ā EdinburghĀ EH11 1AR.

This will be the firstĀ Public Consultation EventĀ when the developer will show what they plan to do with the next tranche of land there.

The meeting will be held onĀ Thursday 12 February 2015 from 2pm ā€“ 7.30pm.

Today at Edinburgh’s Christmas there are free tickets available for those of you arriving with your pipes or drums to have a go on the Star Flyer or the Helter Skelter.

You have to play either before or on the ride itself to get your free ticket.

And then sadly Edinburgh’s Christmas is all over after today. The Christmas Wheel will be taken down and St Andrew Square will be emptied of all Spiegeltents and Christmas Markets will move out of Princes Street Gardens. What did you think of the activities on offer this year?

Last year at Holyrood they served up nearly 25,000 cups of tea in the cafe and welcomed nearly 15,000 school pupils to the Parliament to learnĀ how it works.
