Police have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with enquiries into a serious assault at a pub on Easter Road in April.

The incident occurred at around 11.30pm on Thursday 24 April 2014 at The Mash Tun public house in Easter Road, Edinburgh.

Police officers are keen to speak to the man in the image as they believe he may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is described as being white, Scottish, around 6ft 3, heavy/muscular build, short shaved dark hair, clean shaven and at the time he was wearing a dark grey zip up hooded top and dark workman style bottoms. Police believe that he may be known as “Ross” or “Bambi.”

Detective Sergeant Lynsey Thomson said: Anyone with information or anyone who recognises the man in image is asked to contact police officers on 101, or if you prefer to remain anonymous you can direct your call to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
