Hibs’ Head Coach Alan Stubbs is preparing to bring new faces into the club during the January transfer window and has revealed that several players have already been training at East Mains including former Sweden under-21 keeper Marcus Sandberg.

Speaking to Hibs TV ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Falkirk, Stubbs said: “We’ve had Marcus in from Monday to Thursday to run the rule over him.

“But it’s important to say that we’ve had lots of trialists in and the fans will be the first to know should there be a positive outcome out of that.”

This week Head Coach Stubbs has met fans at the annual Calendar Signing event on Tuesday evening and on Thursday afternoon when he helped turn on the Christmas lights in Leith.

He added: “I think we’re starting to connect with the fans. At this moment in time, I think we’re open and approachable to the fans. That’s something that we want to continue striving to do.

“We know how important our fans are – they are a very passionate, supportive and loyal group of fans, who want the best for the football club.

“We feel as if we’ve opened our doors to give them an insight and taken them to places that have been perhaps been out of bounds in seasons gone by.”
