Their school was threatened with closure last year, but from the looks of things the pupils at Castlebrae Community High School appear to be having a good time. Have a look at them out at Bridge 8 Hub with Sean Barry. They were canoeing on the canal. Bridge 8 Facebook Page has the photographic evidence!

Love contemporary art?

Looking for experience in gallery / art education work?

Interested in bringing our exhibitions to schools and communities all round Scotland?

Or keen to assist with marketing, digital development or carbon monitoring?

We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic volunteers to help bring Rachel Maclean’s I HEART SCOTLAND exhibition to schools and communities!

If you can commit to 20 hours per week for between 3 – 6 months and you are aged between 18 – 30 you may be eligible for aProject Scotland placement. But if you can just offer the odd day we’d still like to hear from you.   Send your cv and a statement saying why you want to volunteer with us to alison.chisholm@edinburgh.gov.uk.

Edinburgh Trams are now a more common sight on the city centre streets. But if you would like to take the whole 22 minute journey from Edinburgh Airport to York Place you can now do that. Here is the Edinburgh Trams video of the entire journey…(just a pity they didn’t set it to music!)
