Tomorrow the Ukrainian community in Edinburgh will come together to commemorate the Holodomor, considered by many to be a man-made famine in the 1930s when millions of Ukrainians and others died. The word genocide is applied to the catastrophe by those directly affected, but some argue against the use of that term. Â Notwithstanding any arguments over what to call it, millions died and their deaths will be commemorated tomorrow afternoon.
