This week there are only two meetings of the council, one a Development management committee meeting and the other a Cammo Estate Advisory Committee (which is not open to the public) both of which are being held on Wednesday 27 March 2013.

You can see the City of Edinburgh Council planning process in action in the recent BBC programme The Planners. Last week’s episode featured the Beach House Cafe and the proposal to extend the premises, contrary to the wishes of their upstairs neighbours.

Police in West Lothian are appealing for information following a break-in at the premises of Bedlam Paintball in Winchburgh.

The incident took place overnight between 22 and 23 March 2013 and a large quantity of smoke and paint grenades and paintball pellets were stolen from inside the premises.

If anyone finds any of these items it is recommended not to handle them but contact Police as soon as possible. Police are appealing to anyone who has any information that can assist their enquiries to contact 101, or report information anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The council led consultation on the future management of Easter Craiglockhart Hill ends on 31 March 2013. The land which might be gifted to the council is part of the Craighouse campus recently sold by Edinburgh Napier University. The planning application for development of the site is now under consideration by the planning department and you can see the planning papers here.

Watch our video filmed after the first consultation event at Meggetland last month.
